Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) Grant Project Manager

Classification: Administrative Staff - Full Time - 12 months - 2080 Hours
This is a limited term position from September 16, 2019 to August 31, 2023 with review and funding awards on an annual basis.
Reports To: Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and HCOP Project Director
Description: The Project Manager will manage the activities of the Carroll University National Career Opportunity Program (HCOP) Academy grant. The Project Manager will plan and arrange their work, accomplish assigned objectives, and supervise grant staff.
Carroll University National Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) Academy: The goal of the Carroll University National HCOP Academy is to recruit disadvantaged high school students into a comprehensive allied health and physician assistant education pipeline, retain them through graduation, and prepare them for primary care careers in underserved communities. The project is funded by a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Responsibilities:
Manage grant activities as described in the grant to include:
Implement activities outlined in the grant according to the project timelines and in accordance with federal guidelines.
Collect and evaluate project data to complete the evaluation measures delineated in the grant.
Supervise HCOP Recruitment and Retention Case Manager and HCOP Professional, Personal, and Academic Case Manager.
Serve as the project liaison to 1) Carroll University College of Health Sciences, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Office of Enrollment, Office of Financial Aid, Office of Sponsored Projects, and Academic Support Offices and 2) external partners.
Maintain project records and statistics.
Assist the Project Director to manage the budget and prepare federal progress reports.
Advise HCOP participants, referring them to staff and resources as appropriate.
Complete other duties related to HCOP grant implementation as assigned.
Prior experience working on grant funded projects including, but not limited to, coordination of programming, budget management, staff supervision, and federal reporting.
Demonstrated history working with and supporting the success of historically underrepresented identity groups in higher education preferred.
Prior experience with data management and assessment preferred.
Technology Skills:
Competency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to quickly develop competency with new software technology.
