Professors Marissa King (The University of Pennsylvania) and Susan Busch (Yale University) are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join a research team exploring the implications of private equity (PE) acquisitions of substance use disorder treatment facilities. The fellow will join an interdisciplinary research team working on a project funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse.
The goal of the project is to understand how private equity acquisitions have changed organizational strategy, treatment quality, adverse events, and access to treatment. The fellow will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of health care data.
This position will be housed within Wharton's Health Care Management Department, located on the main campus of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a PhD, or be close to completing a PhD in a variety of fields, including, but not limited to, Health Care Management, Sociology, Economics, Management, or Public Health. Candidates should have an interest in health care, organizations, and/or substance use disorder treatment. Strong quantitative skills and programming experience in R, STATA, or Python are essential.
