The University of Colorado, College of Nursing invites candidates to apply for a joint faculty position between the College of Nursing and Children's Hospital Colorado. The successful candidate will assume a senior-level leadership position, be part of the Hospital Executive Nursing Council, and be eligible for a faculty appointment in the College of Nursing. The Endowed Chair will demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring abilities, and exemplify a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Chair will develop and maintain an extramurally funded program of research in pediatric mental health nursing, serve as a resource in grantsmanship for faculty, and inspire faculty and students to progress in their research and scholarship endeavors. The Chair will promote the translation of research findings for practice and policy improvement and demonstrate how nursing research positively impacts patient outcomes.
Responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Provide visionary leadership in pediatric mental health nursing practice at the hospital, college, campus, state, and national levels.
- Increase collaborative research between the College of Nursing and Children's Hospital Colorado.
- Mentor pediatric nurses in research addressing pediatric mental health issues.
- Coordinate between the College and Hospital for graduate education, opportunities in translational research, evidence-based practice, and outcomes evaluation.
- Provide guidance and expertise for changes in pediatric mental health nursing in line with current and anticipated state and national health policies.
- Lead and work in interdisciplinary clinical and organizational teams.

Salary & Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $120,000 to $140,000 for Associate Professor.
The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $160,000 to $180,000 for Professor.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- PhD in nursing or related field
- Expert in pediatric mental health nursing
- Established program of research
- Record of scholarship/research in behavioral mental health nursing
- Eligible for Colorado registered nurse license
- Experience in higher education and eligible for faculty rank within the College of Nursing
- A record of scholarship and experience to qualify for the rank of Associate Professor, or Professor in a tenure eligible position;
- Minimum qualifications for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor include an extensive and continuing body of research published in peer-reviewed scholarly journals
- Minimum qualifications for appointment at the rank of Professor include a proven track record of extramural funding, substantial scholarship in peer reviewed journals, national recognition for program of research, and leadership in professional organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a joint position between service and education environments
- Leadership in a professional organization
- Experience with program evaluation
