Post-doctoral Associate, Department of Biostatistics, Boston University School of Public Health Position Information. Two-year post-doctoral position (with a possibility to extend to three years) to apply causal inference methods and agent-based modeling to studying health care access for tuberculosis services. This position will allow for the implementation of structural equation modeling and agent-based modeling approaches for the analysis of factors driving access to health care among a cohort of tuberculosis patients in Peru. We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience with structural equation modeling and/or agent-based modeling. However, we will consider qualified applicants with experience in other related research areas.
Required Skills
The successful applicant is expected to lead analyses and produce lead author publications based on the results, under the mentorship of experienced faculty. Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a quantitative field such as epidemiology, biostatistics, or relevant behavioral or social sciences; candidates in other fields who have demonstrated expertise in structural equation modeling or agent-based modeling will also be considered. Strong programming skills are required in R, SAS, or python. Additional background with Mplus software is preferred but not required. We encourage candidates with an interest in global health or social determinants of health to apply. The position will include mentoring from Dr. Helen Jenkins and Dr. Eleanor Murray (Boston University School of Public Health) and Dr. Courtney Yuen (Brigham and Women's Hospital / Harvard Medical School). We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience with structural equation modeling and/or agent-based modeling.
